“How is it possible not to love circus? How is it possible to be bored in circus?” – exclaim one of the characters of the operetta. Just in the circus, the famous Saint-Petersburg circus Chinezelli take place the main events of the famous operetta by Imre Kalman which he named “The princess of the circus”.

Noble but poor hero – mister X, a circus acrobat, has to hide his true name. His love to the Russian princess Teodora Palinskaya is an amazingly romantic story. In the operetta are opposed the brotherhood of the circus artists living according to the law of friendship and honor to the soulless high society which thinks that a man is paltry if he isn’t reach and doesn’t have ascendancy in the society.

The acute dramatic conflict arising between heroes turns to be just the unfortunate misunderstanding. In the finale of the operetta the arrogant beauty Theodora and mysterious mister X at last join their hearts.

The performance is recommended for viewers aged 12 and above
