«Kiss me, Kate!» is one of the most well-known musical of American composer Cole Porter who is the author of numerous works for theatre and cinema. It is the only one work of master in which he addresses to William Shakespeares comedy "The Taming of the Shrew". Opening night of musical took place in New-York on 30th of December 1948.

Performance is structured as a play within a play. Actors play on the stage famous Shakespeares comedy performing parts of main characters - Katharine and Petruchio. And a lot of situations which are mentioned in plot of the play are projected on their own characters and today private life in surprising and witty way. This peculiarity gives particular charm to every situation that happens both on stage and in life.

Music by Cole Porter is so tuneful and it is easy to remember, few melodies of this performance already became classic, in this music lyricism is combined with humor.

The performance is recommended for viewers aged 12 and above
