Honoured actress of Russia

Born in Leningrad. In 1982 she graduated Leningrad state institute of theatre and cinema (department of actors of musical comedy, pedagogue – I.A. Grinshpun). In 1983 she was invited in Theatre of musical comedy as actress of chorus. She was moved in 1986 to the soloists company and during years of work has performed more then thirty different by characters roles, among which: Poor, Teacher and Mother (“I do not know such country like this…” M. Aptekman), Inessa ("Frasquita" F. Lehar), Murzavetskaya ("Fortune-turkey" S. Banevich), Lady Bazankur ("Age of love" F. Herve), Oskarina (“Bluebeard” J. Offenbach), Mama Morton (“Chicago” J. Kander), Adelaida (“The Bird Seller” C. Zeller), Zenobia ("Gasparone" C. Millocker), Mrs. Corney ("Oliver!" by L. Barth), Anna Petrovna ("The Bondmaid" N. Strelnikov) and others.

Today her repertoire includes: Militza and Klementina (“The Merry Widow” and "The Count of Luxembourg" by F. Lehar), Queen and Murishkina (“Levsha” V. Dmitriev), Cristina and Agatha (“Baroness Lili” J. Huszka),, Medlok ("The Secret Garden" S. Banevich), Hattie ("Kiss me, Kate!" C. Porter), Aunt Shura ("Shoo!" by J. Dubravin), Caroline ("Mister X" by I. Kalman), Giletta and Mashenka («Ten brides and no groom» by F. Zuppe).

In 2009 Marina Ulanova was given honorary rank of "Honoured actress of Russia".
