![]() Born in Novouralsk of Sverdlovskaya oblast. In 1995 she graduated from municipal musical school, and also was studying in Musical theatre studio for children established by Ural operetta theatre. In 1999 she moved to Ekaterinburg and entered in Musical school named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, where she was studying on vocal department by national artist A.P. Zhilkin. In December 2003, she became a Laureate of the all-Russian contest "New Jewish names" in the city of Ekaterinburg. She has participated in various international vocal competitions. In autumn 2008 she was invited to St. Petersburg theatre of musical comedy, where she performed the following roles: Zora ("Gasparone" by C. Millocker), Gabriella, Polina and Isolda ("Parisian Life" and "Bluebeard" by J. Offenbach), Mrs. Corney and Charlotte ( "Oliver!" by L. Bart), Lushka ("The Bondmaid" by N. Strelnikov), member of the ensemble (swing - 7 parties) ("Dance of Vampires" by J. Steinman). Her repertoire now includes following parts: Stassy and Simona ("Silvia" and "Bayader" by I. Kalman), Mashka ("Levsha" by V. Dmitriev), Marta ("The Secret Garden" by S. Banevich), Ida and Adele ("The Bat" by J. Strauss), Semenovna ("Womanish revolt" by E. Ptichkin), Lubasha ("Sevastopol waltz" bu K. Listov), Belotte ("Madame Pompadour" by L. Fall) , Silvia and Juliette ("The Merry widow" and "The Count of Luxembourg" by F. Lehar), Actress and Dranddaughter ("Shoo!" by Y. Dubravin), Almina («Ten brides and no groom» by F. Zuppe), Dependant («Grooms» by I.Dunaevsky), Miss Brown and Dinah («Hollywood diva»), participant of the concert “Hits of Broadway”. In May 2010 she has got Special Prize of the jury of International vocal competition n.a. F. Lehar (Slovakia). In October 2013, Ekaterina Popova won the VI International Competition of young operetta actors "Operetta Land- 2013" (first prize). |
