Was born in Ekaterinburg, where she graduated from music school by class of piano. After she was studying on composer-theoretical department of music school named after P. I. Tchaikovsky. Four years later she entered preparatory course of vocal department of Ural state conservatory named after M.P. Musorgsky.

In 2009 she graduated from the department of music theatre actors (pedagogue N.N. Arsentyeva) of Saint-Petersburg conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov. Being a student she performed on the stage of Conservatory opera theatre in such parts as Cinderella in opera of the same name by A. Spadavekkia, Darzy and Rikky in «Rikki-Tikki-Tavi» by M. Elchiva, Kitty in «Anna Karenina» by V. Uspensky, Susanna and Barbarina in «Marriage of Figaro» by W.A. Mozart, First witch and Spirit in «Didona and Enei» by H. Pursell.

In September 2009 she was invited in theatre of musical comedy. She played parts of Kristina («The Bird Seller» K. Zeller), mother of Oliver («Oliver!» L. Bart).

Nowadays in her repertoire are following roles: Bekky and Mary («The Adventures of Tom Sawyer» and «The Secret Garden» S. Banevich), Adele («The Bat» by J. Strauss), Lubasha and Zina («Sevastopol waltz» K. Listov), Nastya («Womanish revolt» E. Ptichkin), Lili («Baroness Lili» E. Houska), Marika («Spring Parade» by R. Stolz), Violetta («The Violet of Montmartre» by I. Kalman), Valentina («The Merry Widow» F. Lehar), Madlen («Madame Pompadour» L. Fall), Preciosa («Ten brides and no groom» F. Zuppe), Showgirl ("Hollywood diva").

She is a Diplomant of the International competition of the artists of operetta them. F. Lehar (2010, Slovakia). Winner of international competitions, «The Magical World of the scenes» (St. Petersburg) and «Fiestalonia Milenio» (2012, Spain).

In October 2012, Valentina Mikhaylova became a Laureate of the V International Competition of young operetta actors «Operetta Land-2012». (3rd prize).
